Blog ยท Where we'll be
Is there a mobile RV inspector near Punta Gorda this winter?
Yes. RoadRunners works the Punta Gorda area through the 2026โ27 winter, starting around November 8, 2026. A certified inspector comes to your rig in Punta Gorda or anywhere nearby, and you can book before we arrive.
Where we'll be this winter
For the 2026โ27 season, RoadRunners serves the Alva and Franklin Lock area, near Babcock Ranch, and the towns around it. Punta Gorda is an easy drive, and so are Port Charlotte, North Port, Englewood and Arcadia. We cover the towns within about an hour, and we're glad to talk about a date if you're a little farther out.
We're mobile, so the inspection happens wherever your RV is sitting: a campground, an RV park, a driveway, a storage lot. You don't tow or drive anything anywhere.
Can I book before you get there?
Yes, and it's the best way to get the date you want. We expect to be in Southwest Florida around November 8, 2026. Appointments can be booked well ahead of that, and we can also schedule work along our route if you're somewhere we pass through on the way.
If you're buying and the seller wants an answer soon, call or text us early so we can tell you honestly whether the timing works.
What we do at your site
Pre-purchase inspections. You choose between two packages:
- Essential Package (NRVIA Level 1) โ a basic condition inspection of the interior, exterior, roof, slides, appliances and systems, with photos, a written summary and a list of recommended repairs and concerns.
- Premier Package (NRVIA Level 2) โ everything in the Essential Package, plus more extensive testing, a moisture and water intrusion evaluation, more photos, and short videos of important findings.
Either way it's a full working day, eight to ten hours on the rig, and your report arrives within 24 hours. Pricing for every RV type is on the home page, and there's a longer comparison in Essential or Premier: which RV inspection do you need?
Diagnose and repair. Air conditioners, furnaces, generators, refrigerators and water heaters โ for rigs we have not inspected.
Preventative maintenance. Water heater descaling, air conditioner and furnace upkeep, generator maintenance and the routine work.
Two rules worth knowing before you call
We don't inspect or repair anything over ten years old. If your rig is older than that, we'll tell you up front rather than take the job.
The inspector never repairs an RV he inspected. That's deliberate. An inspector who also gets paid for the repairs has a reason to find problems. Keeping the two jobs separate means your report is written by someone with nothing to sell you.
What we find most often
The five things we write up most, in order, are slide seals, roof sealant, window seals, strained air conditioners and water heaters. Most of them are preventable with routine maintenance, and the first three are all about water getting in. Slides, windows and the roof are where water intrusion does the most damage, and they're the places a buyer is least likely to check.
How to book
Call or text 817-900-MYRV, or use the booking form on the home page. Tell us where the rig is, what it is, and whether you're buying or already own it. We'll confirm the date that works.
